Authorities Nab Two Premier League Players Suspected R-pe and Assault
The UK Sun reports that two Premier League players were taken into custody last weekend on charges of violence and rape.
It is acknowledged that both football players, who are 19 years old, are members of the same team.
One of them was briefly questioned by the police at the stadium where their club plays on charges of assault and encouraging sexual assault.

After leaving the stadium, he was formally arrested and he spent the night in a police cell. Detectives then questioned him under caution.
On suspicion of rape, his teammate was also taken into custody and interrogated the following day.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers have arrested two men following a report of a rape.
“A 19 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape.
“A second 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.
“Both men have since been released on police bail.”
Joshua Zirkzee, the standout striker for Bologna, is a target for Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti’s team, and Arsenal may face competition from the Serie A winners for his services during the summer transfer window.
With 11 goals and four assists this season, Zirkzee has been one of Bologna’s best players, aiding his team’s quest for Champions League qualifying.
Bologna is rumored to be asking a hefty €60 million [£51.3 million] for the young forward, who signed a contract with Bayern Munich in August 2022 for €8.5 million [£7.1 million].

The 22-year-old was praised by Zanetti as “a young, talented, intelligent, physically very strong player” and believes that he could be a valuable addition to a team looking to achieve great things.
When asked about a potential move for Zirkzee, Zanetti told Radio TV Serie A: ‘”Zirkzee is a great champion.
“We are talking about a young, talented, intelligent, physically very strong player.
“Someone like that would be useful to any great team aiming for important goals.
“Let’s see… if the opportunity arises we can think about it.
“With Zirkzee, Lautaro [Martinez] and [Marcus] Thuram we would have a young and strong attack. They would give us peace of mind.”
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has disclosed that he had hoped to sign Harry Kane for the team last summer, but Rasmus Hojlund was signed instead.
Hojlund left Atalanta for United in a £72 million transaction, while Kane paid £100 million to move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich.
Hojlund has made 26 league appearances in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring eight goals, while Kane has scored 35 goals in 31 Bundesliga outings for Bayern.

“We have had some choices made with talents like Rasmus Hojlund.
“I can see a striker who already proved it, who we want to sign and we couldn’t get him. And then we went to Rasmus because he’s a talent,” Ten Hag said during an interview with Gary Neville for Sky Sports.
When questioned directly if he was referring to Kane, Ten Hag said, “Yes, and you know Harry Kane will get you 30 goals.”
“I think Rasmus will get there, but he needs time. It’s not fair to assess him the same as Harry Kane. I would never compare two players because they are very different.”
