How God Jammed The Guns Of Firing Squads That Were About to Kill Me - Gospel Singer Buchi Recounts

Nigerian gospel musician Buchi Atuonwu has shared his story of nearly being killed by a firing squad.

In an interview with Channels Television, the award-winning musician talked about his experience and how God saved him.

He disclosed that he was about to be put to death at one point in his life when he cried out to God, offering to serve him in exchange for his life. He has dedicated his life to serving God ever since God granted him his wish.

“At a point in my life, we were lined up for execution. It is true that the people that were to execute us, were kneeling before us, ready to fire. I called out to a God that I didn’t know that if He saves me, I will serve him. He saved me from that firing squad and I devoted my life to serving him.

Buchi had warned the public the previous year to reject online reports that he had passed away. In a phone conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu, the singer denied the claim.

Previously, Buchi told the story of how a young child in northern Nigeria rescued him from Islamic extremists.

The gospel performer is not the only one who God has saved and given his life to.

Yul Edochie disclosed last year how God spared his life in 2019 following a horrific vehicle accident. He said that while he was supposed to die, God granted him a second chance at life. He said that God revealed to him that his second life will be dedicated to serving people, his word, and his own glory.

The actor revealed that he had been called into ministry a long time ago, but that he felt the timing wasn’t right. Now that he was back to full health, he was prepared to accept the calling.

Before closing it down, the actor conducted two services at his newly established virtual church.

PDP Will Lose South-South Governor to LP - Primate Ayodele Predicts

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, urged President Bola Tinubu not to continue imposing taxes on Nigerians and come up with ways to put an end to the country’s hunger on Friday.

Primate Ayodele stated that it is inappropriate to raise the Value Added Tax, stamp tax, and cybersecurity charge at a time when Nigeria is still experiencing severe economic hardship that has left common people impoverished.

He ordered the government to evaluate its policies and make them more people-friendly because there is so much hardship in the nation and the government should be focused on making sure that Nigerians have better days, according to a statement signed by his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin.

He said:

’Increasing VAT, stamp duty, implementing cybersecurity levy at this time is not proper.Nigeria may not understand all of these and the government in power may not even understand too but the fact remains that the government must review their policies very well.

‘’These policies will only lead to more hardship for the people, the prices of food commodities will skyrocket and even the salary increase will still lead to more hardship if these policies continue.’’

Primate Ayodele urged the governor of the CBN to carefully review any measures that would provide long-term challenges for the government and have an impact on Nigerian banks.

He claimed that the nation as a whole will be impacted by the present policies, which are too severe.

‘’The CBN governor must look at all these policies that will create problems for the future of the government, they must review them clinically and all of these will affect banks. If all these policies still continue, Nigerians will not find it easy.

‘’What Nigerians need now is how they will survive and eat their three square meal. What is going on now will affect every small scale industry and big men. A lot of people surrounding the president are deceiving him,” he added.
